*Proposals under $300 are considered fast-tracks and can come out of ministerial budgets. They do not need to be voted on in a funding meeting*
Common Proposals ($300-$3000)
Ensure that you’ve talked with a minister whose mandate relates to this event about the best way to break down costs
Any proposals between $300 and $3000 MUST be brought to an SRC funding meeting before a quorum of 7+ SRC members before being passed
Major Proposals (Over $3000)
Any major event that will request the Student Representative Council supply over $3000 in funding will have to be voted on by all members, at least 3 months prior to the event date
For events over $3,000 the proposal should be brought forward in the first semester if being held in the second semester, if being held in the first semester it should be presented three months prior to the event date.
This includes events such as Dancing Bear, Questival, Cabaret, etc
These events MUST be marketed to the students and public as SRC funded events.
Example: Dancing Bear Presented by Quest University Canada’s Student Representative Council
These events MUST allow for the SRC to have creative influence and flexibility
Proposals that do not abide by the funding criteria will not be accepted by the SRC
